BBC Radio 1 is running the same competition This year, that I entered in 2019 looking for people new upcoming presenters who have worked in local, hospital and community radio to cover their shows over Christmas 2020
I entered never thinking I would get a call back never mind being offered 2 slots in the daytime! So I would say if you have done community, hospital radio etc then send them a demo as it was probably one of the best experiences of my life so far!

About Me
About Me
I'm currently Co-Running Arrowe Sound Hospital Radio on the Wirral and present a daily show "The 90s at 9" Monday to Friday from 9am. My love of radio goes as far back as I can remember - starting off on CMP Radio, an online radio station, while I was still at school.
When I left School I did a Radio Production Course at College along with a Diploma in Media Studies. Since then I have been involved with Community Radio, I have also done a course at Radio City in Liverpool as part of the Bauer Academy and I also did some work experience at Juice FM (Now Capital Liverpool).
In December 2019 I was picked along with 34 other new presenters to host two shows on BBC Radio 1 over the festive season.
It was such an amazing opportunity and I would like to say a big thank you to the team at Radio 1 for having me, total dream come true!

Although radio is important to me , at the moment it’s just a hobby of mine . My current day job is retail manager
